Welcome TheUser

Helps to let people know a bit more about the camera than just the model number:

"Sharx Security SCNC3905 High Definition 1080P Wired PoE and Wireless b/g/n Weatherproof Outdoor H.264/MPEG4 IP Network Camera with Infrared Night Vision and built in DVR"
https://www.amazon.com/Sharx-Security-SCNC3905-Definition-Weatherproof/dp/B00IAZ3R0C

Can you see it via the wired network?

I am unable to find that screen. (p16) I've seen it before when I was logged into the camera and I've tried multiple downloads "camera set up", titanium, and smart manager none of them show that particular screen. On another note, I could be fighting norton antivirus.

What browser are you using? Try Internet Explorer and allow both ActiveX installs/runs (so says the manual).

When you "saw it before" (that screen on page 16) that has the search function for the SSID of your Wi-Fi, what did you do / what happened?

It seems that screen is only available when I'm logged into the camera. Maybe I need to plug the camera back in to the router and get that screen back.

Yes, the screen is generated by embedded software in the camera that generates a browser-viewable 'web page' so initially you must have the Ethernet cable plugged into the cam to view it and configure it. Once the wireless is set up properly you should be able to view it again as well as other pages with the Ethernet cable unplugged and with the same IP address (according to the manual).

Ok that worked! Thanks. Now it says I'm supposed to be able to view the camera from my iPhone using safari. So far I've had no luck viewing the camera on my iPhone. There is something written about an app that costs $10 to download. Is there a free app?

Glad I could help. IP Cam Viewer Lite (by Robert Chou) is free and claims to support Sharx but I prefer the interface and intuitiveness of Live Cams Pro by Eggman Technologies for only $2.99. It has a profile for your specific Sharx model. I put it on my iPhone SE to try out a client's Amcrest, works great. Requires iOS 8.0 or later. For the record, I have 5 IP cams on a Dell i5 / Blue Iris 4 server and the Blue Iris app on my iPhone....a hard to beat combo!

I will check out the Live Cams app since I only have the one camera. Thanks again.
Not knowing what blue iris is I checked it out on you tube. Looks like great software.
I tried setting my camera up in the garage looking down the driveway through a window. That did not work as the reflection was all I could see. Looks like a an outdoor installation is the only thing that will work. Unfortunately the weather shield did not come with my camera. I wonder if one can buy parts for my camera or I will I just have to fabricate one.

Ahhh, I found the problem at the box marked privacy.
Can the picture be rotated slightly by the software?
