I live in a warm environment, so there are lots of spiders & webs, even on the turret cameras. I use this pool cage brush, they sell at the pool stores, with a 20' telescoping handle. You could probably even clean lenses of those high elevation cams by wrapping a terry cloth around the brush. This brush works very well and is always used. If there are 2 hard points within 10' apart, the spiders will run a web.

Thanks for the idea. I have a number of bullet cameras but so far the spider webs are a minor problem in my area.

I use a Swiffer (hand held) taped to a wood dowel. It works really well for me and I can clean the cameras without getting the ladder out.

I should start mass producing my redneck spider web cleaner...
I could be wrong but.....I think the "Official Redneck Guide" (revised 2017) requires the use of 'duct tape', not masking tape. But then again, it's just a guide (like the National Electrical Code) and rednecks everywhere in the past have employed any and all types or sticky substances, wire ties, string, cord, rope, etc. to 'keep the device, item, or repair' together and functioning (at least until the completion of the task at hand OR until it falls apart) ...whichever comes first. :lmao:

I guess I skimmed over that chapter a bit hastily and will correct this horrible mistake ;)

Just wanted to add my $.02, if you need a 20’ telescoping brush, then your cameras are mounted way to high! I can reach all of my cameras using my wife’s indoor broom ;) (don’t tell her) cameras are way less effective at identifying someone the higher up they are. I like the 8-9’ range

+1 to that!

Now mind your manners or we'll all tell her that you said that broom "is how she gets around". :lmao:
