DS-2CD2342WD died - replacment recommendation?

Hi,

I have a customer Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD that died & i am looking to replace it.

It is currently sitting in a tree outside roughly 20 feet above the ground.

Overall its been fine for the customer - just curious if I should be looking at something else as a replacement?

Not if the cause of the failure was moisture ingression hence corrosion in the ethernet cable joint at the camera.
A close look at the pins under a magnifier might check that out, as might trying to power it via a 12v DC supply.

Us hams also use "Coax Seal" for a watertight fit.
