Hi everyone,
I wanted to start a thread where we discuss ways to configure IVS for highest reliability.
Right now I have issues of many false alarms triggered by:
- Fog at night
- Rain
- Rapidly changing cloud cover
- Reflections from car lights
- Wind blowing in trees, bushes.
- Porch light turns on/off
I think some of these may not be possible to eliminate (fog for example), but i'm wondering how I can do my best to not catch false alarms and find only what I am interested - humans or animals moving about.
Some ideas I have:
* For intrusion box, only create IVS event for crossing boundary instead of appear. So, this should eliminate events where a shadow appears inside of the alert box.
* Go back and review IVS events and see if there is a theme to where false alarm triggers, then revise my intrusion box accordingly.
* One method I've seen on this board: use a bunch of chained tripwires. This seems like it might eliminate shadow appearance false alarms. Think so? Anybody have experience here?
I included my boundaries and IVS settings. Anybody see anything I could fix right off the bat?
