Here is the link url:http://pan.baidu.com/s/1c0tf7RaMaybe, I'd have to look at it, but I really kind of wanted the source since who knows if the one you got was tampered with lol.
why can't you use the web interface to upload the new firmware?obviously you'll need to tftp to the chinese cameras.
The camera GUI will not allow an EU firmware on a Chinese camera.why can't you use the web interface to upload the new firmware?
You have to telnet in, extract the davinci file and hex edit it to get english, per the instructions on the first post of this thread.I loaded via TFTP with v5.1.6 firmware, but still only have chinese language.
Try this workaround: From UncleRedz post at http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=245941#p245941I loaded via TFTP with v5.1.6 firmware, but still only have chinese language.
I believe on mine it did, but that's easy enough to fix, I just had to check the DHCP box again after rebooting it from the update. as for the admin password I use default on mine anyways so couldn't tell you on that part. When a new version of the firmware is loaded via TFTP, does it reset the camera to factory defaults? In particular, does the camera come up with the default network settings and admin password?
You have to use the directions in the first post to get English back, however the hex value changed slightly in 5.1.6, Bellavitus posted the new value about 10 posts back from this one.Yes,v5.1.2 is ok.
But v5.1.6 can't change it.
Yes,it can work. But can't resolve the problem ultimately.Try this workaround: From UncleRedz post at http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=245941#p245941

Or you can use chrome browser and let it translate the page for you, that works quite well as well.
You don't have to use a patch, you just have to follow the directions of this thread with the new value that Bellavitus provided, I did it last night, quite easy, takes 10 minutes.yes, the hex value changed slightly in 5.1.6.
Somebody already hacked it,buy sell the patch more than 200usd.
