Hi all,

Thanks in adv.

Everything seems to be fine in SMART Settings, except on this attachment.
The definition for attribute 184 is a parity error in the HDD cache.
I'm guessing a bit - but depending on whether it was during a read or write, it might indicate that some corrupt data has been written.
If that has been the case, whether that would have any bad effect would depend on the criticality of what the data was associated with.

A bit of a shot in the dark, if this would not cause loss of data that you need, might be to reformat that drive to clean up the data the NVR relies on.

You are welcome. I hope this improves the problem.
Pretty sure that will resolve the issue and once again thank you so much for the resolution.

One more question -

Actually this issue happened after upgrading the latest version of firmware. I had upgraded my two NVR's 'DS-9664NI-I16 & DS-9632NI-I8'
with the latest firmware version v4.1.60 build 180717 and this issue happened on both the NVR's. I know it's stupidity to ask that to downgrade it to the previous version but are there any way to downgrade and get back to its previous stage or the only option is to format it to clear stage? if there is then I'll keep formatting or replacing HDD in secondary steps though it helps.

Thanks and Regards,
Bimal

That suggests it's not an HDD problem then if it's on 2 NVRs after a firmware update.

I'm going to assume that Hikvision have implemented the 'downgrade block' in the 4.x series of firmware, which will limit the downgrade options to minor revisions of the current firmware, and block attempts to downgrade a major version.

Hi Bima, what's firmware version you're using after downgrade. I have same problem with 02 NVR DS-9664-I8
Hi Tuan Anh Le,

What was your previous firmware Version? Did u encounter the issue after upgrading the firmware? If the issue started after upgrading the firmware then better downgrade it, if not then check your Network status or it may occur due to the bad storage disk too.

I do not know why the 64 channels NVR's always causing such issues. On my case, I had downgrade to V4.1.54 build 180621 from V4 1.60 build 180717 and it worked as normal.
Hard drive status can be found at the storage page on Hikvision Web portal.
