Hi Andy,

Same color as that Lorex Black Turret ( similar to the IPC-HDW5231R-Z ) - however in the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE style right?

Andy,
If Dahua makes a black cam, will it be anodized black? Or painted black?
Some reasons for asking:
- anodized black has a different color than painted black. Sorta shiny.
- anodized black may be cooler in direct sunlight than painted black. So I'm curious what Dahua has opinions on thermal performance, in direct sunlight?
- would a Dahua black cam have any performance benefits over a Dahua cam painted black? (besides superior appearance to a home-painted camera?)

I'd also be interested in Black camera's (more so bullets I think) but my soffits are black and been hesitant due too the white sticking out to much for the esthetics of my house.

Welcome Maul,

Paint works well. I've painted one case - the mini-dome wedge for by the front door and it blends in nicely. I just spray primer a couple of times and then added exterior latex paint to match the walls. If it gets scratched, I'll just touch it up - sample sized paint at the store is fairly affordable.

Thank you for the welcome and information mat200, I'm sure it wouldn't look horrible but I just can't see it looking the same as coming in black from factory and the thought of it not looking clean and original makes me squeamish. :)

Yes, i will make a try for the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE in black at Sep. Small qty can buy, price bit higher, then not good. I am trying to make the price same as the silver one.

Thank you for the response Andy,

I will personally be looking for only 4 of them so I know that's not overly helpful. Hopefully you can get things to work out in regards to getting the price to align with the current models.
 
After some guys requirement, we will bring some black IPC-HDW5231R-ZE to sell, the ready date i think early Oct.

Black one all parts are black with dahua logo for the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE.
