As the title says my BI version 4.8.3.0 x64 has been glitchy. I run 2 Reolink 420 cameras ( I understand the complaints with Reolink but both cameras have been working perfectly) and 1 yunch mini camera. I have an i7-267 and 16gb of ram, more than enough to power the cameras.

My problems started after I did the update. My CPU in BI would be way higher than normal and would max out while recording. I was told it was memory leak and that it could be an intel driver relating to display however I believe that's not an issue as my computer only uses the Nvidia display and that hasn't been updated. Ive ticked off limit decoding, dropped my framerates to 15, and set direct to disk. My CPU usage is down to 19% but when watching live video and playback it is extremely slow and choppy.

Im also a newbie, and thanks again

How do you revert back?
You need an older update file. This is why you should always manually update via the website. There are threads with links to older versions as well as a tool that will download and store versions for you as they come out.

Just to add. I too have this problem. This is on my Intel Skull Canyon. No other programs running on it. I'll need to revert back to an older update or will there be another one coming out?

why dont you revert back, it takes exactly 10 seconds. There will be no update unless one of you reported your issue to support.

When I ran Blueiris after the update, my pc was fine. I would notice that it shut off by itself. I kept restarting it thinking it was a surge passing my protector. I couldn't figure it out until I watched it for a hour or so and the CPU ran 100% when running Blueiris. It would get hot and trip the thermal switch.

Intel is sending me a new Skull since the processor is now damaged and the NUC is under warranty. I should be getting it Tuesday.

I will download the old update and use that. That's why I asked maybe there would be another

It may not be related to the update at all. You may have a memory leak. See threads. Are you sure the processor is damaged? I have never seen this happen, even on a pc that runs at 100 percent for days. The shutdown prevents it. A properly vented pc wont even shut down.

I updated to 4.8.3.0 the first day it was released and I'm not seeing any issues.

How does a memory leak issue keep occuring as the threads I have been reading are from last year, I have even seen some from 2015. Is this just a common unresolved problem with Intel updates? This issue definitely came up after the newest update. Could be my virus program. I'll email blueiris directly when I get a chance .

Will see tomorrow with my new NUC. I don't want to dismay new users since this IS the best IP camera software out.

I'll run it a day to see how the new update does.

How do I revert back? I have no saved files, perhaps someone on here could send me the last version. Please, I'm desperate.
search the forum...there is a thread with a bunch of them...also search for the term dropbox
in the future, download and install updates from the website so you can revert back. There is also a tool to autodownload all updates.

OK Loaded the new NUC with the same settings that I had when my NUC heated up and CPU usage was 100%.

Vertict: Not Blue iris fault. My Cpu is running around 32% and cool.

Problem. My license says I have too many PC licensed and wouldn't take my code....

Emailing Support now.
