Does an updated firmware allow me to upload stills/video to cloud storage?

Current firmware is: V3.4.98 build 171121

As an aside, I have seen various posts about an NVR getting bricked after a firmware upgrade due to it being an incompatible version etc. My NVR was bought from Amazon US, so (I hope) it is fully legal and able to take international firmware update. Am I correct?

As far as I know - that's the latest firmware for that model, and likely to remain so as it's been superseded by several newer models.

There is no assurance that Amazon doesn't have China region Hikvision products on sale.
But the -NI in the model number suggests it's an International model.
