rtsp://<address>:<port>/Streaming/Channels/<id>/
rtsp://<username>:<password>@<address>:<port>/Streaming/Channels/<id>/

Where <address> is the IP address of your camera, <port> is the RTSP port of the camera, and <username> and <password> refer to the login credentials of your camera.

Using the first format, you will be asked to login and verify your credentials before being allowed to view the stream.
Using the second format, you will automatically login when requesting the stream

<id> refers to the channel number and stream type of the camera. For example, an <id> of 101 refers to channel #1 (first digit, 1xx) using the main stream (second and third digits, x01).

Typically, you'll use a program such as VLC Media Player to decode the RTSP stream.

Examples below.

Main Stream
rtsp://192.168.1.100:554/Streaming/Channels/101/
rtsp://admin:examplepass123!@192.168.1.100:554/Streaming/Channels/101/

Sub Stream

Don’t forget to put a “/“ after channel number

Also seems to work better if you don’t put in login information. Works for me in VLC. Sometimes I have to kill the App and restart it.

I do not get to see him in vlc.
I would need the MPJEG for linking it to a home automation system. I need this for that. But there is always an error in that.

VLC does ask for the password and the log-in data, but when you enter it, it will load and I will not see a picture of the camera.

While when I go directly to the camera via the IP address, I get to see what was not the case before.

Not sure what to tell you about not displaying using VLC. It works for me.

I have done but then I get the error message below
It's not an error message - it's the result of the HTTP query.

But presumably you need to use the RTSP:// prefix and the RTSP port in the URL.
Which will launch whatever media player is associated with the content type, as @GCoco explained above.

the problem is that I need a https: // link because it has to be entered in the home automation system as shown in the image below. I have now entered it but the images are not yet available on the home automation system.

after searching, I found another url only if I give it in my browser, I still can not see a picture. This is necessary to be able to link everything with the home automation system. According to the manufacturer of the home automation system, I have to look for a URL with MJPEG.

Does anyone here know a solution or the right stream of an MJPEG?

I received the following message when entering this url:

http://192.168.1.100/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview

Maybe it's my misunderstanding of what's required.
I have to look for a URL with MJPEG
That's video.
Your screenshot in post #10 suggests that the camera main stream is configured to use h.264 as the codec.

I found another url only if I give it in my browser, I still can not see a picture.
Do you really mean a picture, as in a snapshot? Or video?
eg
/Streaming/Channels/1/picture
or
/Streaming/Channels/1/picture?snapshotImageType=JPEG

I need an MJPEG stream for a video that I have to enter in my home automation system.

I have tried the following link: http://192.168.1.100/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview/

but now I get this error message as shown below.

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
"); vertical-align: bottom; height: 10px;"><ResponseStatus xmlns="http://www.hikvision.com/ver20/XMLSchema" version="2.0">
<requestURL>/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview</requestURL>
<statusCode>4</statusCode>
<statusString>Invalid Operation</statusString>
<subStatusCode>invalidOperation</subStatusCode>
</ResponseStatus>

Can someone help me find the right stream to find an MJPEG url it is really important that it is an MJPEG.
