Send email to support@smarthomesentry.com. Include your sentry_id and some sample clips by providing the start time of the clip with missed alerts.I'm not getting false positives anymore but rather I have alot of recordings with people in them but sentry is not picking them up. How do we submit them to try and figure out why its missing them?
Sorry for confusion.Sam,
Video clips are usually pretty large in size. Can you put in detail a bit more on what is expected when you say "Send email with sample clips by providing the start time of the clip with missed alerts". Maybe directions on how you want us to export from BI or compression or file size and format you expect to receive.
Thanks,
JIM
Same issue hereSam, is Sentry experiencing issues today, because I’ve received a lot of false positives? Most of the false positives weren’t tagged with the Sentry logo, so it appears that they slipped through. I also was wondering if it could be something with my account. I originally set up 8 of my cameras for trial and then subscribed to the 5 camera plan. Since the trial was extended, would this only extend the trial for the 5 cameras or all of them? I am planning on purchasing the yearly plan, but I wanted to do some testing with the additional 3 cameras, that’s why I enabled the trial for them as well.

Need some clarity here. False positive means Sentry stated a person was in the clip when in fact there was no one. If the false positive "was not tagged" that means to me that Sentry said there was no one in the clip, which would be correct if there was in fact no one in the scene as implied by a false positive. Hope that makes sense.Sam, is Sentry experiencing issues today, because I’ve received a lot of false positives? Can you send an email to support@smarthomesentry.com? I believe what you are asking is whether we can extend the trial for all 8 cameras? We have experienced the same issue where the Sentry logo does not appear but the Occupied logo does appear with the following clip. We have a ticket open with BI. Ironically, we experienced the SMS and email alert are sent correctly even though the icon does not appear in the clip list. I will post the fix once it is addressed.Nearly all of my false alerts made it through today as well, no sentry logo. The few times I saw the logo, it was the occupied logo without being preceded by the blue logo.
I'm not quite understanding what "false alerts made it through..." means. For v1.0 of the integration, we kept it pretty simple:Nearly all of my false alerts made it through today as well, no sentry logo. The few times I saw the logo, it was the occupied logo without being preceded by the blue logo.
When I said that false alerts made it through, I meant that sms messages were sent for every single alert clip, even without people in it and clips with people had no logo except for the few occupied marks on about 1 out of 10 clips. The sentry had been working correctly i days prior, and nothing was changed on my end however the sentry log entries stopped appearing when all alert clips were sending sms messages. The pass all clips problem however seems to have resolved between 10:22 and 10:50pm CST last night as I received no SMS overnight, and the motion entries are followed by the sentry stat counter messages in the logs. Also the sentry log entries follow the motion entries by 3-5 seconds where yesterday i saw that delay grow to over 1.5 hours at one point. I will update as soon as I verify person detection and logos are working again.I'm not quite understanding what "false alerts made it through..." means. We have experienced SMS and email alerts getting through with just motion alerts on some BI installations. We are still trying to resolve with BI.
- Any triggers created by BI remains in the clip list. We do not delete any clips. All we do is visually mark clips with human activity.
- The only alerts we suppress due to Sentry Smart Alerts are alerts for SMS and email. We have not integrated to the mobile app or the web site.
Email support@smarthomesentry.com the info below and we can follow up.
- Issue: Describe the issue for example false negative, false positive etc.
- sentry_id:
- camera name
- Time of clip with timezone: 3/14/2019 8:53:07 AM PST (based on clip list example below)

I just started testing this today and that's exactly what I saw...came here and found this. Thanks. I started adjusting settings but to no luck. So for now I'll ignore that part and keep testing. There is a known issue where the image in the SMS or email is NOT in fact the image that was sent to Sentry for analysis. So Sentry may have detected a human but the alert sent an image later in time and the person is no longer in the image (Elvis has left the building).
