Just wanted to get some opinions on the front of the house as far as install spots go.

A couple of the spots I'm concerned with:

I'm going to add more cameras over time to each of the spots, but for now I'd like to start with two..

Going left to right, between the first two circled spots, I think dead center over the garage door right where the first row of siding begins.

I guess I will have to either park my truck in the further spot, or figure out something else there. Thats my only concern.

The second spot in question is the front porch. My office is the room between the garage and the front door, with the shrub in front of the window. theres no visibility from the inside in that area circled (circle 3) so people walking between the garage and door commonly end up not visible. Being up stairs "sort of" helps, but not much, to see who it is.

The front porch is tall, so Is my option mounting into the wood frame of the side windows (not crazy about this) on either side of the door, or into the mortar on the wall/ceiling with a pole to drop the height?

Only other option I see is potentially to the supporting beam on the porch. I dont believe there's attic access to that area directly above the arched window.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome @AleksanderSuave

I would put 2 cameras on the garage covering the driveway.

One on each side of the garage door. Thieves do turn away from cameras if they get a chance, and the best option imho is to create a "cross fire" or cross FOV with 2 cameras to counter that.

New houses often have a space between the brickwork and the inner wall - so you maybe able to slide a cat5e cable behind the brick...

I like the idea of one on each side of the garage door. I wonder if I can piggyback on the lighting on each side to fish the wire through
