I've purchased one sricam SP006/SP007. Sp006 comes with memory card which I can insert and record accordingly.

However, for SP007, there's no memory card and I can't record at all. Anyone tried to mod their own CCTV and install memory on it? I would love to know if it's possible and will do it myself if required. :)

I can only live view and there's no recording nor storage information.

Appreciate any assistance tendered.

You cannot mod it to add memory..you choice is to return the camera and buy one with a memory card..or use a pc with software like blue iris to record...
Note that sricam is not a quality brand..

Thanks for that! Sricam is one of the "best" priced camera with quite a number of features. So it does it job for me for deter thief and see what's going on in my house. The structure of that CCTV isn't that great thru. Support also seems alright only. So many emails exchange with them and they could not advise me accordingly. :(

The sricam sp007 seems to sell for 70-90 dollars...that is WAY to high for a camera like that..you can do much better with a hikvision for the same price..the hikvision will have much better motion detection, image quality and reliability...
The specs indicate that the sp007 does have an sd card slot..are you sure it yours doesn't?

I managed to get it at $70 but that doesn't matter since I already have received it.

Anyway, my SP007 is the older version that doesn't comes with a memory card slot, they are upgrading that and it will be coming with a memory card slot soon in May 2015. Just my luck for getting something that's older generation, lucky I know some Chinese and managed to speak with Sricam headquarters and they have guide me to install the memory card.. seems easy. Let's see how it goes when I open that camera up this weekend.. haha.. :)

I've managed to open up everything and install the memory card! Phew! I thought I was going to break that little screw and the antenna wire but lucky I didn't.. :)

but now, another small problem rise up. I can't connect with my PC and transfer the video files.. Else my memory card is going to be full and Sricam personnel offer to help me via phone tomorrow. Best of luck to me.. :D

Hi
The Sricam Sp007 supports micro sd card upto 128GB as per manufacturer's description. User manual doesn't have any description to put the memory card in the camera. However, you need to disassemble the camera from back. You need to remove back cover, then first circuit board and unscrew 2nd circuit board. You will find the memory slot opposite side of this panel.

Hi Bruno, here you go, download it and you should be able to play back with your computer.

Shenzhen Sricctv Technology Co. Ltd

If you referring to playback from your mobile phone, you need to format the memory card with the CCTV.

From your app, when you open up the memory card, can you see the memory card there inside the app?
If no, most likely the memory card is not recognisable by the camera, you need to put in another memory card and try again. Usually, I'll recommend 32-64GB.. :)

Yes, i can see the used space and its continuously eating up space during manual recording. But the palyback clips has 0s and cant play it. I already tried other sdcards but git same issue.
