Done with LaView. Done with their incapable tech support. Rudeness and frustration when they can’t resolve an issue. A complete disaster.
I invested in so many cameras (to me).

Does anyone know of a company that makes a rock solid NVR that will work with LaView cameras and then as each camera fails I can switch over to whatever brand NVR camera to match the new NVR? A company that has a good app that actually works and their tech support is actually “supportive”?
I have mix of 4K and 1080p cams.

If not, is their a third party company that does tech support for any camera system out there? Thank you.
I just want to get a system that is reliable and solid that actually works as advertised.
Thank you.

Did you click the forum link provided, to see the very large number of threads and posts on this popular PC-based software NVR?

is their a thread for overwriting an NVR with Blue Iris and not using a PC?
That would be merely impossible, as most "hardware" NVR are running on linux chipsets. Dahua/Hikvision have their own, one "favorite" is for example NVR5216/5232-16P-4KS2E
You have models with (and without) POE, with 1 hdd or more hdd's, 1 hmdi or more. What is important is to pick one closest to your IPC brand (as you have possibility to configure advanced features like IVS/tripwire on the NVR which is propagated to the cam). Dahua NVR do provide ONVIF (and some other brands) integration. So if your Laview supports ONVIF, you should be good to go.

Good luck!

They claim it does but onvif labeled cameras won’t work with the NVR. I tried.
I believe it’s a rebranded Hikvision as when going into camera menu the LaView cameras say Hikvision
If their a different and better brand NVR I can completely replace the NVR with that will work with LaView cameras already in use? This is frustrating as they won’t reply because they know they sold a product they can’t fix.
Just feeling lost and frustrated. Spent a lot of money and they won’t help. If I had money to burn I would chuck entire system but can’t do that.

Generally, you need to know the 'ONVIF port' to use in the NVR configuration for an ONVIF camera.
With Hikvision cameras, it's 80, but it could be anything, separate from the HTTP port.

One way to determine the 'ONVIF port' is to query the cameras with ONVIF Device Manager (sourceforge.net)
Give ODM some logon credentials, at the top left of the window, and it will find ONVIF devices automatically on the same IP address range as the PC.
The ONVIF port shows in the URL at the bottom of the Identification page.

Is their a service that I can pay to have them remotely configure and fix the system? At this point I don’t have a choice.

I started with a rebranded Hikvision NVR and cameras, and finally "bit the bullet" and switched over to all Dahua equipment. There were bugs in the NVR that made it unusable for me. Hikvision had the bugs fixed in an update, but the rebranders don't pick up all of the updates, and I was stuck. The rebranded Hikvision cameras worked with the Dahua NVR to the extent of recording the video, but none of the detection features worked, so I went to all Dahua cameras. I had only 2 cameras at that point, if you have a more it will cost more to change. Once I got over the financial hit I was happy with the result because I like the Dahua cameras better, too. If you don't want to lose your investment in the cameras, Blue Iris might be best route to go. I'm not able to compare it to the NVR, but the praise I read is pretty overwhelming.
