Blue Iris vs NVMS - whats the difference

Bought a new house. New to all this stuff. I dont understand the difference between blue iris software and NVMS7000 software. Or are these functionally the same? you install cameras and these softwares manage them?

apples and oranges. try both and see for yourself. Blue iris has too many features to list. Not to mention nvms is limited to hikvision and hikvision oem cams.

But I am correct then, they are essentially the same thing. you install them on your computer and then use the software to view and manage the cameras? In both cases the computer they are installed on would be the NVR and doing the recording. instead of having a standalone NVR.

nvms7000 is actually the mobile app for the NVRs/cams. They would have another product that is like hik-4200
as far as saying they are the same thing its like comparing a Fischer Price car toy car to a real one.
