I had screwed up and sent my clips to a folder to delete that wasn’t actually created on my drive. Anyway got that corrected and have been toying around. Everything looks good and clips seem to be deleting except I notice clips from one camera are not deleting. So it appears when I’m looking at it I have a couple of weeks worth of all the cameras and a month and a half of camera 3

I went ahead and allocated a little space for the folder that gets deleted so I can watch them.

Could this be from over allocating the hdd and then repairing it after I corrected?

Well didn’t appear to work. I just seen it moved a clip from cam 2 from July 4 to folder to be deleted and the entire month of June for cam 3 is still on ther

there is no need to move files around on the same drive. have everything stored in the new folder

Ok got all that set. It’s still not deleting camera 3.

It’s deleting files from the other cameras from July and and camera 3 still has complete month of June

check you settings and confirm you dont have an cam 3 going to a different folder. otherwise manually delete those clips and see if the problem persists with newer ones.

Ok all cams were set to go to the New folder

One thing I noticed last night and changed was in cam3 it had the Protect (read only) tab switched to If triggered and all the other cams were switched to no. I went ahead and switched it last night to no to match the other cams. Not even sure what it’s for.

well that would explain why it was not deleting. protect is self explanatory. see help file. There is nothing wrong with BI, its user error.

Oh I never doubted the bi. It all started with me sending the files to be deleted to a folder that didn’t exist and then once that was resolved realizing that one cam wouldn’t delete. I’m not sure why that one was switched to protect when triggered. I’m guessing it continued to protect the files that were recorded under protect even though I had turned it off. Anyway I’m learning this thing which is good. I went ahead and wiped all the files off except for what’s recording. I’m going to limit my folder size really low and set to delete so I can see what happens over the next few days.
