I purchased an HP EliteDesk SS4 G4 with two ethernet ports, a used Netgear POE switch and IPC-HDW5231R-ZE camera. How / what do I need to do first to get my "setup" up and running? I purchased Blue Iris, but have not installed it yet. Do I need to connect the POE switch to my PC or router first to access the camera?

I would go to Microsoft’s Media Creation website, download the latest version of W10 x64 onto a usb stick then use the stick to perform a clean install of W10 Pro as a first step.

Am on my way out at the moment but once W10 is up and running setup the network cards, one to be on the same network as you home network and the other to be on the same network as the default IP address as your cam is shipped with.

Plug the cam network into the uplink port of the POE switch and then plug your cam into a POE port. That should be enough to allow you to access the cam from IE so you then start setting it up, things like it’s final IP address etc.

Then install BI and start playing

Thanks; I had already done a clean install of Windows 10. I figured out how to hookup the switch and cameras to the PC and was able to access the camera last night. Sounds like BI is my next adventure!
