Yeah, i can't get any hikvision dvr's password reset, the file they mail me is just not working.
i haven't rebooted the device and i use the latest SADP version and still it won't work

Did you manage to find a solution. I have the same model and the same problem. Hikvision UK don't want to know as they say I bought from an un authorised dealer. Had I known this at the time I would have gone to an authorised one. I have tried different combinations of the serial and dates either side of what SADP showed but no joy. Any help would be appreciated.
