x2 on getting a switch. Most folks here wind up with more than one camera eventually and the switch is IMO a much cleaner solution.

Contact Andy directly through email, and he'll quote you a slightly better price with a direct invoice. That's what I did. I ordered on a Thursday, and received the cameras on a Monday, half way across the world.

Before I pull the trigger on these, can someone please confirm if I'm on the right track?

Initially, I'll only be using 2 cams recording to sd card. Will look onto nvr's when I expand my system.

With these cameras I can:

Set them to record to sd card, only when motion/intrusion has been detected.

Email/notify me about the motion/intrusion.

View the recorded footage remotely using idmss or similar app on my phone.

I'm fairly sure that's all possible, just wanted confirmation.

Thanks

yes, that is fine. Use NVR to manage the cams will make it easier.

Received these cams from Andy in record time. Picture is crazy sharp. I configured the camera using 5216-16p-4ks2 (NVR). When I try to login to cameras from "Setup"->Image->Registration (NVR Web access), by clicking on i.e icon, I get "Invalid username or password". I tried logging in after factory reset with same result. Do you happen to know what is the default login/password for these cameras?

THIS

On a 5261-16P I just helped a friend install, the cameras took the password of the NVR automagically.

Thanks redfive and bigredfish. NVR password worked. That's a new feature. Old cams didn't work this way. Thanks alot.

People who have this camera does your IDMSS alerts include a snapshot or goes directly to viewing the video when clicking on it? Mine does not show a snapshot but my newer AI 4.0 cameras do.

so it looks like it's just updated with better light vision? and for the microphone (out of subject), what kind of cable do u use to wire it to blue iris? Or does the audio pass through the same rj45 poe cable or requires a different cable?
