Add IR led possible ?

Hi ,
i have bought a DS-2DE2103-DE3/W , it works well but there's no nocturn vision.
Is it possible to add IR led to have nocturn vision?

That camera does have an IR cut filter, therefor you can buy an external illuminator...

Trying to understand this better. Do you mean that unless a camera has an IR cut filter, you can't use an external illuminator with it? What exactly does an IR Cut filter do to this camera to allow you to use an external illuminator?

As for an external illuminator, how is it generally used in conjunction with a camera? Is it a 1-1 relationship
 
@GaretJax If a camera does not have a cut filter it usually (on the better cameras) has a permanent filter so that the daytime images show good color....Some cheaper junk cameras have no filter at all and the daytime images look terrible...
The filter is active during the day and cuts at night so the camera can see IR light.
As far as how many, it depends on what you want to see...the best solution is actual light...it provides added security and a much better image than IR.

How do I ensure that the motion sensor lights don't wash out the camera, but still provide enough illumination to make the camera more useful?
