Hikvision 2CD-2035i Chinese Firmware Upgrade Help

I have Hikvision G1 DS-2CD2035-I camera with "CH" serial number. I'm running firmware V5.4.0 build 160401 with english menu (it came this was from Aliexpress). I've contacted vendor for firmware upgrade and they were not very helpful. I would like to get the security vulnerability resolved by updating firmware and I don't mind using the Chinese language firmware with Blue Iris.

I tried uploading firmware "IPC_G0_CN_STD_5.5.82_190130" and the batch configuration tool says "Upgrade failed". The web ui says "The type of upgrade file mismatches". Any tips on getting new firmware?

If you really, really don't mind this, you could see if the attached firmware is accepted. 5.4.41 is the 'official' backdoor-fixed version.
Though I've seen hacked-to-English firmware on G0 series models that has the update capability inhibited.

If it does work - you can configure the camera in English by using the Batch Configuration Tool : Batch Config Tool

Thanks for the firmware! We are slowly progressing, now I get the following error message: "Language version mismatch". DOH! Any ideas?

On attempting to update the firmware via the web GUI?
That will be the 'hacked to English' running system objecting to being asked to load CN firmware.
You should be able to load it with the Hikvision tftp updater, during which it's native CN language will be in play.

5.5.58 is the latest for G0 cameras available on the Chinese Hikvision website

If you don't mind losing English (and perhaps NVR compatibility) then as advised use TFTP to update (it won't be accepted in the web page)

Thanks for your help, I updated to "V5.4.41 build 170710" then used the web ui to update to "V5.5.82 build 190130".

Now I need to update my Hikvision DS-2CD2335-I - V5.3.6 build 151221 Chinese camera with english menu. Do you by chance have the backdoor fixed version of firmware for this camera? I'm confused which "generation" I'm suppose to use. I learned today that "2CD-2035i" is G0 while the "2CD-2035FWD" is G1. Which firmware do I use for the 2335-I???

Okay Hikvision DS-2CD2335-I updated using same TFTP method, thanks everyone for your help! The Hikvision DS-2CD2335-I wouldn't let me update any firmware v5.4 and v5.5 via webui... but the 2032 would let me upgrade from v5.4 to v5.5, weird. It's all working now, albeit in chinese...
