Hi,
I am completely new to using IP cameras so I may be being dumb here!
I have just received my new Hilook IP camera PTZ-N24041-DE3
It connected to my network and had an IP address of 192.168.1.45
Now I have my router set to only support dhcp addresses from 100 up.
I am trying to set it up and it is supposed to provide an initial activation window
which requires user name then
password and confirm boxes.
It doesn't but just expects username and password.
I did a quick search and this suggests admin/12345
That doesn't work.
Although this came packaged such that it seemed to be new this all seems odd.
I suspect that this has been used
I ran netdiscover and it found the camera but reported it as from an unknown vendor. Is this what I should expect or should it show it's from Hikvision?
I have emailed the company I bought it from but as it was already late I don't expect an answer today.
I am not running Windows but Linux so can only use the web approach to set this up.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
