Thanks Fenderman~

Good news, they replaced the stop sign! they even made it taller to prevent future graffiti...I feel like my camera and pictures helped.

Just wanted to thank Milkisbad. Purchased two CMIP3032 and couldn't be happier not just with product but service. Not to mention price is about equal as buying form China. Let me know when you start selling the 2432 as I'm interested in a couple more. Thank you much!

It's the reason Writghwood turned down being an OEM for Hikvision when offered and also stopped carrying an OEM version (Derytech) that did not turn out well. It's the camera and lens limitations and that they are starting to get more aggressive in distinguishing themselves from their OEM line with different look on some models and future firmware will likely be different and not compatible.

Could you send me pricing list please? I am looking for 24 cameras, 2MP Dome IP IR POE, 3 of them outdoor rated. What NVRs are available for recording at 2MP 23+ cameras?

Not swaying you from LTS brand if that's what you want, but if you want true Hikvision USA, the 32 channel NVR, will work for you, the DS-9632NI-ST. I can get you pricing if you want, but figure about $1,599 shipped including sales tax for the NVR and honestly, not going to find it much cheaper in China with no warranty. You'll also need a 24 port PoE switch, would recommend a ZyXel GS1900-24HP, would have to research pricing, but figure $400-500 for the GS2200-24HP if you want a managed switch in the $600-700 range. Also, you'll need hard drives, 1,2,3,4TB drives available just about anywhere, would recommend the WD Purple Series, priced well, design specifically for NVR use.

Cameras are cheap, depends if you want their low end with 2-axis design (has to be mounted facing down, not on a wall), or a 3-axis camera that is more flexible but also more expensive. Figure about $150-200 each depending on features.

No, rotate turns an image 90 degrees. What happens if you wall mount a 2-axis dome, it works fine if it's pointed straight ahead and tilted up/down. The minute you try and pan the lens, because it only pans by rotating the base, the image rotates with it. One reason I don't recommend the ds-2cd2132-i because many people want to wall mount or mount it on a slant ceiling and the only way is to use the wall mounts which to me are not a pretty solution.

Did you mean you don't recommend the ds-2cd2132-i (the 2-axis dome)? The 2032 is the bullet...

Yes, the ds-2cd2132-i is the one I don't recommend unless you understand the limitations of any 2-axis domes. Forces you to mount on ceilings which in some houses, offices, warehouses could be 9-10' high or higher indoors as the OP wants to use them and if you want say an eyeball height view, you can't just easily surface mount it on a wall.

I am interested in the ds-2cd6412fwd-30 2.8mm . you show a price of $269. Is this available and I assume iit comes with everything listed in the Hikvision specs. Could I also get your full flier.

May I ask what the practical difference is between the NI-VP and NI-SEP NVR models?

I paid quite a bit more for the NI-SEP NVR delivered from China and have to take it apart to get to the drives.
Looking like I should have bought from you.

That is a pretty major discount on those NVRs! If I had a need, I would jump all over that 16 channel box. Is it true what it says in the specs, that it will only play back 8 cams at a time?

Alas, I already have two perfectly functional BI boxes and a network drive taking backups. I don't think I need to record my cams to a 4th on-site location.

I found this site after a search and would like some information. I'm looking at installing a security system for my home and looked at a DS-7608NI-SE/P NVR and a few DS-2CD2032-I or DS-2CD2132-I. Front cameras looking close to 40 feet max, rear cameras up to 70 feet max. Please send along your ideas and prices, any help appreciated...
