I suggest you consider the Amcrest IP2M-841 (re-branded Dahua) . It's ONVIF compatible, provides RTSP, is 1080p, IR, 2-way audio plus mike in/speaker out, has pan/tilt/digital zoom, 90 degree FOV, records to micro SD card, wired or wireless and has alarm in/out, great with Blue Iris, VLC, etc. Available in white or silver for under $55, black for $50.

I've installed 3 of them and 3 of it's lower-res, 720p cousin the IPM-721 and all have functioned with no hiccups for the past 3 years.

EDIT 4/1/21: V3 of the IP2M-841 does NOT provide relay I/O nor jacks for an external mic and speaker.

Thanks guys - good options to look at. Grn1z - can you post a link to K35 since I can't find it

Also I'll be doing a wired setup and not sure if that changes your recommendations. I love the fact to do two-way audio to speak to the kids and let them know I'm watching ;)
Thank you

Any idea what the proper Dahua models are for some of the Amcrest cameras and if they can be flashed with Dahua OEM firmware? I know Amcrest has a bad name around here because of the whole Foscam fiasco, but sometimes the Amcrests are pretty tempting for the price, especially if I could rid them of the Amcrest firmware.

Hi mmmburritos

A few have attempted to that - so far I have not seen reports of successful flashing of Dahua OEM firmware to the Amcrest Dahua OEM cameras. Heard the models while they may seem similar to some Dahua OEM international models are actually a bit more affordable versions.

For Dahua OEM international models in the USA I have seen some carried by Nelly, Montavue, Security King. For the greatest selection Andy will be the best option.

Yeah I've seen some mentions in the past and most of them seemed to be unsuccessful. I want to say I've seen some people say they flashed Dahua firmware to an Amcrest NVR, but not to the cameras. Too bad they seem to be customized versions of the hardware, oh well. Of course I'd much rather support Andy, but in some cases I don't think he has comparable models available like the $49 one mentioned above.

Not sure where you got that idea of a "bad name".....I've been active on this forum since Dec. 2014 and sure there's been occasional hiccups regarding some Amcrest products but NO brand has been immune to that.
Many forum members, including myself, have reported great success with several of their products.

I'm using a Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-AS wedge with 3.6mm lens in an upper corner of our 22 ft. x 13 ft. family room. Works great and is relatively inconspicuous. Purchased directly from @EMPIRETECANDY, whom I cannot recommend too highly.

What about: DH-IPC-HCBW8442N ? It has Input Audio and has Output audio (you might need a speaker tho, but it says tit has a mic).

I don’t have one but it jumped to mind for me because its meant to be installed in a corner. Although one problem might be the 135 degree FOV.
