It was reported in various places including right-leaning The Hill that Pence's office had been informed of the mask policy. Pence chose not to wear a mask. If I was in charge there and Pence tried to stroll in without a mask I would have politely told him to mask up if he wanted entry. But I can understand the politics and no senior administrator wants to piss off Trump by turning away his ass puppet.

Put another way: I am too stubborn to rise to senior management. It's career-limiting.

p.s. I'm a consultant in the electronics design industry. e.g., designing application specific integrated circuits ("computer chips"). I gots my edjamacation in ECE.

I can't do that without the President being on board bro. But that shouldn't be too significant an obstacle...he only needs be told that it'll help him with the election.

Recently a good friend of mine was explaining to me that we have done more testing for the virus than any other country in the world. I tried explaining to him that its not just the 'raw' number of tests being done but rather the % of the population that gets tested. I used the example if Guadeloupe tested 200K people and we tested 1mil that they are better off because they would have tested 50% of their population and we would have tested about .3% of ours. He finally agreed but insisted we were still testing the most using that metric. JIC anyone here might want to know what is really happening, here is a chart showing the amount of carona testing by population % (as of 4/29)

Testing is only good when testing works. My wife’s results came back “invalid needs a new sample contact your healthcare provider.“ No other contact numbers, no way to contact to get retested, no nothing. So what really matters, how many we tested or the efficacy of the test itself ?
