I'm searching for the best two camera option, front and back of a home, nothing extreme but wanting in addition to motion activate lights to capture movements, etc.
Prefer using an app and allow remote viewing and alerts if motion sensed .
Having an SD card is advantageous for storage, unless footage it can be stored on PC. Loop recording acceptable.
Battery operation is a better option due to limited power supply.
Any other good feature is an asset.
Budget not much of a concern, but don't want to go crazy

All suggestions very much appreciated.

Thank you

You're looking for a Unicorn. WiFi and security are mutually exclusive terms. Battery powered would need something the size of a car battery to be reliable. Bite the bullet and install some CAT cable, maybe even in conduit, use a decent camera (not Nest, Arlo or similar junk) and do the job properly. If there happens to be power available, maybe a dedicated RF link, note dedicated RF link and not WiFi, might be appropriate.

I have had Reolink Argus 2 deployed out side for 4 years and never touched it, so load powered recharged and tops up battery with about 3-4 hours sunlight. Has 1080 capability and local microssd along with possible cloud subscription (which I don’t use) and have just setup email motion alerts which send photo images to you email and records video for future remote playback to your phones app.
Issue with battery powered wifi camera is you must have good wifi in destination location ( I use velop mesh wifi) and I have never found one that has an open api or can be remote armed/disarmed by central automation hub (only has schedules or manual arm/disarm via the app)

A $25 WiFi blocker from eBay will take it right out. On top of that, you've got a camera with free internet access that can be hacked and used for DoS attacks by any pajama boy with a port scanner.
My firewall is set to only allow smtp port and camera is not really a big Detterant or to stop theft, just for my piece of my and remote access. I have other means for Detterant

Reolink, quality, reliability are all mutually exclusive terms. If you have a port open a pajama boy will find it.

0 port is open in bound, as I said it has been deployed 4 years and never touched it or ran out of battery.
Forgot to mention it has IR night vision also

What is OR night vision? How do you know, with any certainty, that it has triggered properly if it only comes on when triggered? Any camera that doesn't work 24/7/365 can miss things and no system is perfect, especially if it has a Reolink label on it. If you're happy with it, go ahead and use it. Just don't think it is infallible or the best solution.

Sorry typo, fixed it. Pretty reliable because I have been fighting with a bloody possum where every night for the last month he either walks along the fence and triggers camera or eats my veggies and triggers camera or comes and bloody pees in certain spots of the yard and triggers camera with an alert sent to my phone with photos of his activity waking me up at 2:30am

As long as you're confident that it catches every last incident you're fine. But gong back to what you "want" is still looking for a Unicorn and the best solution is a dedicated, quality, camera and some form of NVR.

Reolink is crap from a lying spamming company. The op said budget is not a bit issue. Pay someone to run cable. The image quality alone is a reason to avoid.

Incidentally, I'd sacrifice a nights sleep and make sure that possum gained about 158 grains of weight.

It was back again last night this time perched on the fence directly outside my bedroom window making abnoxious noises, like it was testing me to come outside which could be the result of me chasing it with a broom the night before...

How about a motion activated floodlight camera?
