I have a Glock 19 that never had a failure until 28,000 rounds when the trigger return spring broke. One of my Glock 34s has well over 100,000 rounds through it and it has never had a single failure. None.
But don't ya just wish ya had some of those 128,0000 rounds back right about now? :headbang:

The big 4 are largely very reliable. Blondes vs brunettes. Sig, Glock, S&W, Ruger

My P320 had just over 25,000 rounds before I changed the extractor. I don’t recall ever having a problem with it in competition.

My end of the world pistol though would be my P229 or P226

I only carry if I’m outside of my house with pants on ;)
P320 compact EDC
Generally a hybrid IWB by Black Arch or a single clip kydex by DSG, depending on whether it’s wearing the Streamlight TLR-8 light or not

One thing instructing and competition taught me was carrying in the same place with the same type handgun, is that the grip and all of the controls are identical between my comp gun and carry gun, and it’s in the same place on my body for both. In my case 3 o’clock.

In a violent encounter, that 1/2 second difference of getting the gun out and on target can make a difference. Your subconscious takes over and there’s no time to be fiddling with a different grip, presentation, or God forbid, manual safety’s

We taught the 3-3-3 theory generally. That if there is such a thing as an “average” encounter, it will take place within about 3 yards, last 3 seconds, and with 3 rounds fired. Our qual for newbies in our basic CW class was just that, from a concealed holster.

Any of you guys carry on a daily basis? What do you use? What kind of holster setup?

I have an XDS 45 for winter carry, and a shield .40 for summer.
Everyday, all day.
Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace laser, in right front pocket, in a Vedder Pocket Locker Kydex holster.

Please spare me the speech about how wrong pocket carry is. ;)

Eight Republicans Sellout, Vote for House Gun Control Bill

Excerpt:

"...CNN reports the eight Republicans were:
  • Vern Buchanan of Florida
  • Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania
  • Maria Salazar of Florida
  • Andrew Garbarino of New York
  • Chris Smith of New Jersey
  • Fred Upton of Michigan
  • Carlos Gimenez of Florida
  • Adam Kinzinger of Illinois
Vox notes that Fitzpatrick, Smith, and Upton not only voted for the gun control measure but “co-sponsored it.” Seriously??...."

Because of covid? :(
nah, after a number of years my day job got in the way and it’s difficult competing with 2 hour paper shuffle certificate mills. We decided to close it after my partner also took a day job that became demanding of his time. It was fun and I’m proud of the classes we taught but it’s not a business one gets wealthy from ;)

You won't get a speech from me. I pocket carry in nice weather (no coat) every day. I love it. I'm sure if you time me I'm only a fraction of a second slower than when I OWB carry in the winter.

I practice drawing and shooting from my pocket regularly, though. Most people who go to ranges around here are not allowed to draw and shoot per range rules.

No, not really. I had a lot of fun shooting those rounds. As far as 9mm goes, I am set for now between with on hand for store bought and components.

Yes, carry everyday. What I carry depends on my mood, the time of year, and how I have to dress. Currently running a modified and textured Glock 30 with a 13 round mag from a G21 with a textured sleeve in a JM4 Tactical IWB. A textured Glock 26 with a +2 mag in a Glaco ankle holster. Keltec P3AT in a Comp-Tac centerline holster. Sometimes a G19 or a G34 in a Comp-Tac IWB.
