If second generation has auto tracking, I will buy a few.
If you all want your huisun ptz faster try ivms 4200. It seems to double the speed compared to the live view page.

Is the PTZ speed firmware/software limited?
It can't be, unless it is crippled on purpose. You can't just have the firmware to tell the hardware to go faster than it physically can.

Anyone have one mounted outside in the sun long enough to say how the plastic housing is holding up to UV exposure?
One of my cameras is installed outside, but it has only been 2 months. I got the camera at the beginning of October. It is completely exposed to the elements. It has survived 3 very heavy rainstorms so far. It still looks the same so far. Here is a picture of the camera.

Good to know it's working exposed so far, all my Huisun cams are protected under the eaves.

THAT's what I commented about earlier...in BlueIris, it seems half speed, but in iVMS there is a slider to increase PTZ speed, and it's dramatic. It's fast enough that the panning view is all blurred until the cam settles into a preset position. I guess I'm really missing out on a faster PTZ!

Time for a comparison!

So far:
Stock and iVMS appear to be same speed, BI seems a tick slower for some reason.

If they are steppers motors (which is obviously the case), speed depends upon firmware.
Who knows we are currently at maximum speed (allowed by hardware)??

Now this is odd...my presets are hosed on BI. I did upgrade to 4.0 something last night (coupon code worked-yay!). Just panning in BI is stuttered and I need to now figure out how to do presets. :|

Holding the preset button down until popup is not working... version 4.2.6.4 64bit

Does anyone know if the plastic is ABS, PBT, or something else? Probably not ABS or it will turn yellow quickly.

I think acrylic is the most UV stable plastic, so I hope it's that.
