Hik-vision firmware replace on ADC-VC826

I have a customer who purchased 3 new stores and inherited about a dozen ADC-VC826 cameras with Alarm dot com names on them. He currently has 14 other stores that have Hik-Vision systems in place and wants to setup these new stores the same way.
I know that ADC re-brands the cameras, installs their own firmware, and requires monthly monitoring service to use them.
Not interested in cloud service and want to use them on Hik-Connect with a local recorder.
I have found a couple of Hik-Vision cameras that look similar but there is currently no firmware available for those cameras.

Has anyone attempted to replace the firmware on these cameras yet?

It may be worth seeing if SADP finds them, and if so are any of the details helpful in terms of identifying the non-OEM model.
Also - if the PC IP address is set to be in the same range as the cameras, what ONVIF Device Manager (sourceforge.net) reports for them, not just on the Identicication page but also any other pages that show model-specific info.

SADP Does see the cameras. It shows only the ADC Part Number, Serial Number, and the software version is V5.4.5 Build 190906 and DSP Version is V7.3 Build 180927

TFTP Will connect to them but when I attempt to push the closest Firmware I find, it seems to brick them. They appear to be the same as the DS-2CD2123GO-I. HikVision at this time does not list firmware for this model but does have firmware for the 4mp version. That is what I Attempted to push but it fails. In the past Hik-Vision has used the same firmware for different resolutions of the same model so I thought it was worth a try.

DeviceModel = ADC-VC726

Currently working on a project to extract the alarm.com firmware off the MT29F1G08ABAEA NAND, but problem is I do not have a 48-pin TSOP 1 for my programmer, so that will have to be put on the back burner for a bit.
I have a V826 in the back collecting dust; I have not attempted to flash an alarm.com HIK camera before. Theoretically, it should be possible, but you are going to need access to the UART so you can access U-Boot depending on your skillset of opening up hardware and doing some UART/U-Boot work, it should be straight forward.

I can open my 826 and poke around and give some insight on the next steps if you are interested.

B

Well.. I did managed to get the UART up and running on the V826; however, on boot, I do see a message on 1.547247] Card authentication succeeded. Also, techwizbrent stated he has tried a firmware, but failed and appears to brick the device. So at this point, until I can get access to the firmware, and at least back it up, I would not attempt anything at this point. Give me a few days on getting a 48pin module for my programmer so that I can attempt to get access to the data on the NAND. I do not like to shoot from the hip and hope all goes well. In the end, my goal is to get running HIKvision firmware so that I can utilize these devices, but not on BI like others are attempting.

B
