I have two questions:

1) Can anyone recommend a good IR illuminator for around $50-70 (I am looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004F9LF7E )

2) What are the different backlight compensation settings on my Hikvision camera? (up, down, middle, etc)

1) I have 3 CMvision illuminators including the one you posted and have had very good results, no burned out LED's running nearly 2 years.

2) Set this according to where your light source is coming from.

Picture is the CMvision IR130, this area is very dark and gets no natural light

Hi Mel42, Just wondering
1) what model of camera this photo was taken on
2) the distance both light and camera from the picture.

1) DS-2CD2332-I (4mm) (internal IR off)
2) The light is mounted about 8 feet below the camera, the internal IR of the cam is turned off to reduce spiders and bugs.
