I just downloaded and installed the 15 day trial of BI. I have a Sharx SCNC3905 camera connected via WIFI. The camera resolution is set to 1920 X 1080. When I go to the camera setup page in BI the highest image size available is 1280 X 1024.

Is the trial version crippled to prevent full resolution recording, or is there something I can do to get full resolution video?

Welcome to the forum. Blue iris automatically adjusts the resolution...make sure your camera is set to 1080p.

When I change resolution in the camera via the browser page I have to restart the camera in Blue Iris for it to take effect there, is that not working for you?

Thanks. I suspected the color bars might mean some kind of reset.

I think the problem with the resolution was that when I set up the camera one of the default settings was something like "Older version" for type. I selected H.264 and it got much better.

On a related note, how do I find out which version of BI I am running? I haven't seen a help-about button.
