Have anyone seen this before or use one? If so, care to share your experience with it?

Thanks

You likely realize that you get a limited number of free licenses with this, or any Synology NAS, and will be required to buy more licenses.

Punching "synology ip camera license" into Amazon will give you an idea of the costs associated.

I see now at the very bottom of the page that it would need licencing. When I saw "32 camera max" I thought they did away it.

Thanks for pointing it out!

So many here have a huge array of cameras so I figured it was worth stating. Also, of note, is that I believe licenses purchased can be transferred to another NAS, while those that come with a device by default (free) are non-transferable.

It includes with 8 cam licenses. The unit itself is $2500. The bigger limitation is the fps at any given res. So if you were using 4k cameras at 15fps, you would be limited to 10.

Total FPS (H.264)960 FPS @ 720p (1280x720), 32 Channels
448 FPS @ 1080p (1920x1080), 32 Channels
280 FPS @ 3M (2048x1536), 28 Channels
190 FPS @ 5M (2591x1944), 19 Channels
130 FPS @ 4K (3840x2160), 13 Channels
