Trying to figure out the differences between DS-2CD2032-I and DS-2CD2032F-I

Obviously, the "F" version adds the sd card slot, but it also looks like they've moved the reset button to the compartment with the card. It also appears that the cable coming out of the camera looks different.

Are there any other differences? What about performance? Same image quality? Any differences in specs? Differences in the firmware they use?

Just wondering because I see these "F" versions on Ali going a few dollars cheaper than the original 2032-I....I personally wouldn't need the sd card slot, but if it's cheaper to get it that way and all else performance-wise is equal, then what's the use in paying extra for the original?

Seems to be identical optically.....the large box on the pigtail may be an issue depending on how you mount it...why not use a turret?

Just seemed odd that the "new" version would add an extra feature (sd card ability) yet cost less. Seems like if everything were the same except adding an SD card slot, it would cost a few dollars higher; not lower...Perhaps it's a supply issue that's governing the price difference?

As far as the turret goes, seems to be a few dollars higher than the bullets, yet I don't see any real benefit it would give me. The current bullets I have are serving me well for my purposes.

Turrets are more vandal resistant (the true US region turret with metal base) a bullet can easily be moved..the EXIR is better than the standard leds...and most importantly they are less susceptible to spider webs reflecting since the IR and lens are separated. They also look better but that is subjective.

Just a follow up...I found a good deal on one of these new 2032F models and figured I'd give it a try....Image quality looks the same as the original 2032....

One other difference from what was noted above, part of the bullet housing is much more plastic-like feeling. As most of you are aware, the 2032 bullets almost feel like they're made out of brick / concrete and have a somewhat moderate friction texture do them...These new 2032F models have that same feeling on the bottom part (round area where you mount the camera with screws), but the cylinder part (where the sensor and lens is connected to) has a soft/slick texture, almost like plexiglass....It makes it feel a little less durable.

The other noteworthy thing is that though a Micro SD card will easily fit into the Micro SD slot, it's not very easy to remove it...I fought with it for about 5 minutes and eventually had to get a pair of tweezers to pluck the card out with. Perhaps I put the card in wrong? I haven't tried it again because I'm afraid it may get completely stuck and/or cause me to damage a good micro SD card while trying to remove it.

I have a 2032F and i am delighted. I use a 64Gb card and it works a treat

Had it over 2 months now with no problems.

Have you tried removing the Micro SD card? In my experience with cell phones and such, usually you just apply a little pressure with your fingernail and the card will pop out. That didn't work with me on this one.

No i have no reason to. Installed and left alone. Working fine.
