Hi all,
Newbury question. Is there an idiots guide (me being the idiot ) to the ui for the latest android app?
I have BI 5 installed and working with my first camera (amcrest AD410 doorbell). I also have the android app installed and working but I'm unsure of my way around the UI and what everything does. I get alerts and can view the resulting clips but there are a lot of options that I'm not sure of.
Is there a walk through of what every thing does anywhere?

I don't have anything specific, but have a look at the BI channel on YouTube or on YouTube for BI videos. I hate sending anyone to ScrewTube for anything, but it does have some use, I guess.

Thanks Sebastian, I do make use of YouTube to be honest. You have to filter out the dross but there is often some useful info to be found. I haven't found what I need re the app yet. But I'll keep searching.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but on a similar note, how is it possible that the official BI mobile app is such a hot mess, when Ken does such an amazing job with the main program (and is so responsive to suggestions for fixes and updates)?
Thankfully we have UI3, but it's a bit of a hard sell (WAF) to explain why we need two apps, one for notifications and one reliable one (UI3) to view the alerts. Yes, I know about and have tried the Pushover notifications, but it still isn't quite as smooth and intuitive as the native BI solution (if it only worked reliably).

It is my understanding that Ken does not code the Android app. Someone else does it for him. I can reliably get notifications and view alerts using the Android app.

Thanks, I thought I recalled seeing other references in regards to someone other than Ken doing the app development, but wasn't completely sure.
Yes, I agree that notifications come through perfectly, and the alerts are "usually" viewable (sometimes they won't play, or start playback at odd times, often the start of the hour, or they stop midway through playing, etc..). Just a bit disappointing that it isn't more configurable, like respecting groups the way that UI3 does (and more reliable in playback).
