Notifications not working?

Just switched phones from Android to iPhone (so far...my God Android is better at just about everything in terms of Usability...but I digress).

I can't seem to get notifications on alerts to my iPhone.

I went into each camera on BI and added this phones tag to the Alert/trigger.

Turned on notifications for BI on the iPhone.

But....Nada. Alerts don't seem to come through the phone. Curious what I am missing?

How old is your version of bi?

Just updated it yesterday. Version 5.5.6.15
 
Hmmm...when I set up my required device tags I separate then with a comma.

Eg S21, i13

Maybe you can't do it that way and have to set up an alert per phone?
 
Removed the comma and just put the i13 tag on its own. Works now.

It's found in the BI server's "Help" PDF file under "Settings" => "Alerts and Actions" => "Push Notification"
 
My alerts show in my BI ios app when its opened and Im watching(no sound or banner), but when phone is in my pocket I would never know. No sound/vibration, or banner pop up. nothing :(
 
The usual questions (like from DirecTV, AT&T, etc. LOL):
  • What version of Blue Iris? If old, the certificate with Apple may have expired.
  • You've double and triple checked that the iPhone is configured correctly for notifications, sounds, banners?
  • Was it working OK before any updates?
 
It never worked from day 1. yes I am on the latest everything, yes push is on sound is on for app on my iphone. I see the alerts populate in BI app, but only while its open and im looking at it in the foreground. No sound or banner though)
