Exactly, 1/1.8" sensor was the way to go
Sign me up, although I am a little disappointed the Mini PTZ spec still shows it using the old 1/2.8" CMOS as the sensor. I was really hoping it had the 1/1.8" CMOS!

A few extra dollars will not hurt especially when it can buy us another couple of years before considering a bigger upgrade. Currently, at the rate technology is going, we seem to be plateauing with the existing 4mp 1/1.8mm sensor - same way iPhone 14 is compared with iPhone 13 (hardly any difference from overall performance POV). I think the pandemic and economy and global instability are to blame. Sony has a new list of sensors with some crazy specs even for low light 8mp performance. Could be another couple of years before they make the maintain stream though. I'm also concerned with chip quality (i.e. binned chips)

Price will be high if use 1/1.8cmos, aha, will ask them if can do a 1/1.8cmos later.

For myself, I am only buying cameras if they have the 1/1.2" sensor or larger. I just placed another order with you yesterday for a DS-2CD2087G2-LU with a 4mm lens. Too bad you cannot sort through the Dahua catalog by the sensor size. I just hope my NVR can handle another 4k camera. Hahahahahaha
