What's your favorite IP camera and why?

(I bet you saw this coming)

Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I

I have 9 of them.

Great price, tiny camera, great build quality, great image quality, and feature-rich firmware. I just wish they made an affordable PTZ.

The IQ at 2.8mm is awesome at 1ft distance along with the ability to manually set focus. VF is a bonus at 2.8-12mm. Maybe it's the 2.8mm, but the night IR clarity is much better than the Hik 2032.

Just noticed that the first White-winged doves arrived yesterday. spring migration is here, almost...

I would like to hear some opinions on what your favorite IP camera is, any why.

I'll let someone else start :D

Just bought my first Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW 3MP 2.8mm from AliExpress for the front porch to replace my Foscam 8910. We'll see how that stacks up soon...

Although not the highest megapixel, I like the Dahua 1.3mp 4100 bullet. It has more IR's than the 2100 series and the price is so reasonable, it gives me a higher profit. Plus it gives a nice image both daytime and night time.

[h=1]I purchased this camera, and it should arrive by tomorrow:

TriVision NC-336PW Wi-Fi Wireless & POE Combo HD 1080P Home IP Security Camera Outdoor. (Install in 3 Steps with Our Free iPhone, iPad and Android apps. 15m Night Vision, Motion Sensor, SD card DVR expadable 128Gb, and more).

It's my first IP cam and attempt to increase home security. I can't comment yet, but I hope to, in the near future.

Once you have it up and running, see if you can start a topic with a review on it. Some image samples or video also would be great.

I have two Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I I'm testing out right now. I plan on doing my full house exterior with this model, around 6 or 7 cams.

Which lens type(s) do you have? I've got a DS-2CD2332-I with the 2.8mm lens and find the night time image to be softer and more grainy than I would like, and not as good as most examples I've seen from other Hikvision cameras, usually taken with 4mm or higher lenses. If you have multiple lens types I'd be interested in hearing whether you see any difference in night time image quality between the cameras.

Right now I have a 4mm and a 6mm. There was not a striking difference between the two, but obviously the 6mm has narrower FOV. I'm still working on my wiring right now, but once I have that finished it will be easier for me to get some images.

I am actually a little surprised. I would have thought a wider angle lens would be focusing more light onto the same area of sensor, and therefore things should be brighter, sharper, and less noisy. All my hiks are 4mm though.

Wow, that is awesome. I've never seen all the lens sizes compared so nicely before.

Now all we need is a comparison showing night video, though that is a tricky one since ideally you'd want the same view, but only one cam's IR active at a time.

Thanks for that, a good example of 3 different lens sizes. Just need a 12mm to complete the collection. They all look equally sharp to me and as good as I would expect from a camera.

My current fav. is the Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW. Small size, great performance on audio and video, PIR is very good, and the night shot kills it with only one big IR LED.

I have Dahua cameras, HFW3200S and Dahua NVR, NVR3216V. Excellent video day or night. Waiting on a Dahua K100A to arrive so I can have 2-way audio at the front door.
