It would be under the Networking Tab of your NVR settings.

I am leaning towards you have been hacked and that is why your files are missing from your other thread.
found it upnp, port mapping is unticked. i have all custom ports as well

Custom ports is simply a false sense of security as evident by the brute force attacks., plus it doesn't prevent the backdoor vulnerabilities.

Take the HDD out and test it and it will probably show fine.

Yeah I think we’ve narrowed it down to HD or hacked, and that last message points to possibly hacked

only have one date entry for this from a few days ago, i lost footage longer ago than this and no log entry for that.

How are you accessing it remotely? Is it port forwarded in your router ? or via P2P on the NVR?

Regardless, check the HD as @wittaj mentioned

If hackjed, a full factory reset should correct it, and disconnect it from the Interwebs until you can be sure

Yup

At minimum, use the P2P function on the NVR. It still safer than port forwarding your router.
Ideally do neither and setup openVPN on your router and the client app on your phone/laptop

But first you should verify the HD or replace it, and remove the port forwarding in your router, and do a factory default on the NVR.

Generally not. With a port forwarded you've got a door open directly into a host on your network and any vulnerabilities that exist may be exploited.

P2P isn't great either for a variety of reasons but a little more indirect at least.
