Alternative solution to adding Hikvision G2/LSU or other cameras to Dahua NVR where ONVIF won't work

In case anyone having a problem connecting Hikvision ColorVu G2 security cameras to Dahua NVR using ONVIF protocol where connection never established with all the proper settings applied to devices. Use "Pelco" protocol instead ONVIF :) works like a champ

Dumb question, for which apologies (not seen any ONVIF problems connecting up G2 cameras) in the camera web GUI :
Was 'Open Network Video Interface' enabled under Integration protocol?
And was a dedicated ONVIF user added as a user under Integration protocol?
