Reolink NVR - max cable length 260 ft?

Looked up the max cable length runs for Reolink NVR systems and they say it is 80 meters or 260ft. Can this be longer if you have a POE switch added? We have our NVR in an AV closet in our family room. From there it travels about 120fr to a large pole building where we have a POE switch with a bunch of cameras. From there I need add new runs about 200ft long to our new equine barn. Are we going to have signal loss?

Does it matter if I use CAT6 or CAT5E cables? Does the signal travel further with CAT6?

It wouldn't surprise me if the reolink supplied cables are CCA. I've seen that in the specs for a few different camera kits. If you put a midstream switch into the run, that will extend your range. The length limit is for the wire run. If the cameras and switch meet specs, you should be able to have a run up to 100 meters between the switch and each camera. For a long run cat6 should be better because it likely uses 23AWG wire instead of the usual 24AWG with cat5e cables. But do check the cable specs, because there is some cat6 that's smaller than 23AWG. The bigger gauge is more important for lowering voltage drop in the run, but should help with signal loss too.

Thanks for the response. I used all my own CAT6 bulk cable from Monoprice which is 23AWG pure copper. Never noticed CAT5e is 24AWG. Someone gave me a unbranded 1000ft box of CAT5e. From the weight it feels like it might be pure copper. But I will get more CAT6 pure copper to be minimize signal loss.

It can.
In my area, most CAT-5e is #24 and most CAT-6 is #23...could certainly be different elsewhere, they stock what sells, it seems one has to look carefully or order what they want....it's a crap shoot.
