Long time lurker but dont post much.
I've been approached by an NGO to advise on a project. They have 600 properties worldwide (Mainly India and rest of Asia) and they want to install a single camera in the management office of each property. They want the video to come back to a central cloud or colocated server for central recording (30days)/viewing.
Obviously quite a task with lots to consider.
1. Hardware, which camera to get which will essentially be plug and play with power and wifi needed and will be able to send video back home with minimal fuss. Likely head office will have to setup and ship the cameras out with the satellite offices just instructed to plug in and setup net/wifi.
2. Any cloud providers or server software recommendations for central video aggregation and monitoring. Server will be hosted on AWS/Azure or physical machine at a datacenter.
All advice and input appreciated, spent 2 days looking at options but nothing jumps out for this kind of scale which would be straightforward.
