It's not bad if you have decent light at night, there is a street LED lamp right across the street from my house and I can run mine PTZ5A4K-25X 24/7 full color with good result.Okay... not so good thus far. This PTZ will likely only be good for day use. Maybe the 4MP unit I am getting for the barn to look back at the house will be better for night.
Something just not right with the IR controls on that camera.Okay... not so good thus far. This PTZ will likely only be good for day use. Maybe the 4MP unit I am getting for the barn to look back at the house will be better for night.
For whatever reason, I have seen the 8MP cameras on the 1/1.8" sensor under the new GUI struggle with low light way more than other cameras. I don't know if the firmware hasn't been optimized for that amount of MP or if they just had to up the digital parameters so much with the increased MP.Something just not right with the IR controls on that camera.
Unfortunately, you are experiencing what many of us say - a PTZ is a great compliment for an existing fixed camera system and should never be used as a replacement for a fixed/stationary camera.Okay... not so good thus far. This PTZ will likely only be good for day use. Maybe the 4MP unit I am getting for the barn to look back at the house will be better for night.
