Hi @akur
IMOU = Dahua

So if you have a IMOU IP PoE cameras which has an available rtsp feed .. perhaps even a WIFI camera that has a rtsp feed .. should work. iirc some IMOU cameras are cloud only .. so depends on the model

You should be able to test the camera if you have the camera using Dahua OEM SmartPSS

Then you should first describe why you think this is the case. What exactly is meant by the latest NVR firmware. Where exactly is your problem and what have you already tried?

I bought a DHI-NVR1104HS-S3/H
I immediately updated its firmware. So I don't know how he would have reacted to the IMOU camera at first time, before update.

After that, I connected the IMOU camera to the system and went into SEARCH.

There the system received my IMOU camera. But instead of the PRIVATE protocol, the system in the SEARCH window offered me only the ONVIF protocol.

I waited. Nothing changed. I added this camera by double clicking in the SEARCH list. The camera was added (the passwords on the DVR and the camera were the same)

After that, I added the camera in the "manual add" mode. At the same time, I specified the PRIVATE protocol and port 37777.
I registered the login and password as on the NVR.
After clicking "OK" the camera appeared in the camera line.
But she has a RED dot glowing.

I hovered my mouse over the red dot and received a message:
"Failed to login. Please access the device with ONVIF."

As an experiment, I tried the wrong password. Received a message:
"Wrong username or password"

There are no other protocols in this NVR except PRIVATE and ONVIF.
If you know how to solve this, please let me know.
(Motion detection currently works very poorly.)

After updating my Dahua NVR4104-4KS2/L i run the same issue. The new firmware called DH_NVR4x-4KS2L_MultiLang_V4.003.0000000.0.R.240321
Even using ONVIF i failed to get video from the IMOU camera.
Fortunately, i have old firmware backup (it was good idea to have one!) so i have performed rollback succesfully...
Any ideas what is going on?

After further investigation it seems (in my opinion) that Dahua has banned (on new firmware) IMOU cameras on his NVRs since releasing their own cameras with similar capabilities (Hero series, for instance).
Stay with old firmware. All functions going well

I know I'm late but for anyone with the same question now, almost all Imou cameras work on Dahua Technology, meaning you can add them the same way as you've added other IP Cam's to your NVR.

All IMOU cameras that worked on Dahua NVR before the updating with new firmware stopped working. After rolling back to the old firmware they work again as if nothing had happened.
This has been tested on several Dahua NVR.
Stay with old firmware.

I ha
For now, on NEWEST firmware of DAHUA NVR, IMOU cameras doesn't work with DAHUA NVR

Maybe anybody knews how to change that?
When we say new firmware I suppose that all current dahua NVRs should incorporate this. I intented to buy NVR5216-16P-E1 because I have nine 5mp IMOU cameras but as I see I shouldn't spend such money just to find out that it is useless..

When we say new firmware I suppose that all 2024 dahua nvrs incorporate this. I intended to buy NVR5216-16P-E1 to use with nine imou cameras I own but after reading these I guess I have to forget it. It shouldn't be wise to spend such money just to discover
I threw it away

If you have 9 IMOU cameras consider to buy IMOU NVR.\
Not the best idea, but still cheaper than replacing cameras.
Or find a dahua nvr from last year or earlier. I'm sure such equipment can be found without problems. IMOU cameras work perfectly on last year's firmware.

FYI: I just installed the new firmware version DH_NVR2XXX-I_Mul_V4.002.0000000.4.R.240729 on my NVR2108-I.

My Imou DB61i is still recognized via port 37777 and as "Private". So luckily I don't have any problems with that. :)

Well, the firmware is 4.002.
My nvr has update 4.003 released this year. IMOU cameras do not work on this version. I return to 4.002 - and everything is fine

I just bought a nvr4108hs-8p-el with 4 imou cruiser 2 camera. First in private mode work well. In the switch menu the nvr dont have bridge mode so i upgraded to the newest firmware and after i have the same issue, the cameras work only with onvif and just with h264 video mode.... So now process hunting for older firmware... Its very annoying.
The new firmware better, remote have the same like in real time, but...
