Hello, I'm not entirely sure how to plan out this camera system. The way I have it planned out as of now seems odd but I think it works. I drew a diagram to explain (although not the best, I think it gets the message across)

Essentialy, I want the NVR in the house. I was told that I should connect the stuff in this order. Router -> PoE switch -> NVR

The products I'll be using are a 32 channel NVR and a 16 port poe switch + one uplink port along with 32 cameras.

If I'm wrong about the order of connection, please do correct me as I've never worked with PoE switches before.diagram.jpg

Thank you for your response. Yes, I opted for an NVR with 16 built in ports and then the poe switch with 16 ports.
