sunset keeps shifting

whats the cams OWN ip , when i search 192.168.0.108 in the router it just grabs the nvr

and ps the cam wont reset when 12v attched & connected to router !!!
 
You have an IP conflict as the NVR and camera are both the same IP address.

Unplug the NVR so that you can access the camera at 192.168.1.108

What amp is the 12v power?
 
cam wants 4w mine 12v x 1A = 12w but notice the cam is cool
and same ps used for other cams no probs
 
You would connect to your network then do the reset THEN find it. It would be at 192,.168.1.108 so your network/computer would have to be at 192.168.1.X to see it
 
192.168.0.108
is NOT the same as 192.168.1 108

Yiour computer may not be on the same network as the defaulted camera
 
Unhook a computer or laptop from the internet and go into ethernet settings and using the IPv4 settings manually change the IP address to 192.168.1.100

Then power up your camera and wait a few minutes.

Then go to browser and type in 192.168.1.108 (default IP address of Dahua cameras) and you will then access the camera.

Tell it your country and give it a user and password.

Then go to the camera Network settings and change the camera IP address to the range of your system and hit save.

You will then lose the camera connection.

Then reverse the process to put your computer back on your network IP address range.

Next open up browser and type in the new IP address that you just gave the camera to access it.

OR use the IPconfig Tool, but most of us prefer the above as it is one less program needed and one less chance for the cameras to phone home or for something to get screwed up.
 
i think i may still not succeed and may even screw up my tinternet .... think i will wait till andy or amend the camera away from the pc

Indeed things should work that way sometimes. But quite often they don't.
The default IP will provide a static ending 108 address, which may clash with other Dahua IP cameras addresses, that have been reset.
It sometimes pays dividends to log in to each camera within your LAN and setup, username/password (match NVR if required) DHCP for the NVR virtual host.
 
I know you network smart guys (I'm not) say to do things different, but for 10 years Ive assigned the NVR a static IP (in its Networking tab) in the same DHCP range my router hands out to my LAN devices. Usually .254.

I dont have the ability (I dont think ) to assign that to the NVR within my router. But
  • My NVR keeps that IP forever no matter what
  • I've yet to have a conflict

my suggestion is make a factory default to the NVR and then re-add again. We test it here not have problem show wrong password.
 
Yep we told him that. But he cant login to the camera GUI, keeps getting bad password error
 
keep bad password that means the camera set up a password that different to the NVR.

The simple way is to do hard Reset to the camera and plug into the NVR, and leave it alone. It will use the NVR password.
No need to do any other thing.
 
This is the testing video, NVR and cams all are at default, the nvr and cams both the same model as @10geezer
