Hik thrmal camera - setting up "motion alerts"

I have this camera: DS-2TD2617-3/V1

I finally managed to make the web interface work using Internet Explorer, and have added it to the HIK connect app.

I would now like to set up so that I get a notification/alarm on the app if the thermal camera picks up something, and then make it record both the thermal feed and the normal video feed to the SD card.

I am aware that I need to configure it using the web interface. Can you guide me how to do that?

So far I managed to log the event with a picrure from the thermal cam when the thermal camera sees movement within a defined area, but no video is recorded from either the thermal or normal feed.

Also Is there a setting somewhere to turn the web user interface into English? Then I can post some screenshots of the settings.

Yes, I have a SD card mounted into the camera and have initialized it so that it shows up with status 'normal'

For each event, to be recorded on sd card there is option in Linkage, Save to NAS/FTP/Memory card. That has to be ticked

For camera 2, which is the thermal lens, I have the following settings ticked - see images (the text is ai translated into English, since my user interface is another language and I do not know how to set it to English).

With these settings I get saved a screenshot from the thermal stream that I can see on the app.

But what I would like to do is that when the thermal lens picks up something, I want to save a short video from the normal lens that I can watch on the HIK Vision app.

How can I set that up?

Yes I did.
I am also receiving events for the thermal lens in the HIK app, but it is only pictures, no videos.

But I want to just use the thermal lens as a trigger to record pictures and videos with the normal image lens.

I have attached some screenshots of the settings for camera 2 (the thermal lens). Again they are auto translated, but hope you can follow the menu.

I finally solved it.

In the event settings, for the thermal lens I had to trigger recording of the optical lens under the linkage settings:


And then in the storage settings, I had to set up time scheduling for the event type for the optical lens:


Now it works.

Also a few notes: if you enable the "Notify surveliance center" option, then you will get screenshots for each event added in the app.

And if you want to change the language of the admin panel, you can do it in the right upper corner BEFORE you login.
