Suspected Mail Thieves at 2 AM

Good shots of perp's face and his clothing, vehicle and plate.....would be handy if they had taken something.
Looks like they are more than "Suspected". I got a large lockable mailbox years ago. They are great when you are out of town for a week+. Use to have to notify local PO to hold mail. Now I just let it pile up in there w/o worry. BTW, great looking video as always!
I recently started using zigbee for home automation.
If you want to prepare a surprise for them next time, install door sensor or PIR sensor in the mail box (zigbee door sensor sells in Aliexpress for 1 USD).
Install zigbee sprinkler near the mail box.
Configure a scene which activates the sprinkler if the sensor in the mail box is triggered between 23 to 5.
Adjust the time range according to your mail delivery hours.

They can steal all my mail they want, but they have to return all the junk mail to PO.

hmm .. perhaps setup a light that turns on when the mailbox is opened if you need more light there ..
would be funny to have a old school camera flash that blinds them for awhile .. and a camera by the box for a close up.

No, didn't bother reporting. In the past when I reported mail theft, not much was ever done, so I stopped doing that. The mailbox door has a wireless sensor attached that rings an alarm inside the house and turns on a notification light when the door is opened. It is just a simple product called Mail Chime and I got it from Amazon.
I think you should put an air horn in there and If the box is opened after dark it gives them a blast!
Have to ask, what cameras were featured in the clip? I imagine the sound on the PTZ was an external mic or dubbed from another camera?

The sound from the PTZ is shared from another camera (the color camera) via Blue Iris. In this 27 second video the 4 cameras are all from Empire Tech:

I believe so, as the specs looked similar. Mine was purchased back in January 2022, so the model number may have changed. The price shown is similar to what I paid.

Yes its the same PTZ
Mine is fine within about 50-60ft of the camera.
Past that, it is very inconsistent in tracking.
