using a Dahua 4431R-Z Varifocal as a LPR camera ?

Ive ordered a new IPC-B5442T-ASE from Andy that will replace my 4431 which covers my driveway, I was thinking I could install the 4431 on the side of the house which is right on the road so I can get a great head on angle for cars to capture vehicle plates at night ? Are there any guides of the...

Running as a windows service ? has odd effect on my NAS Drive ? B.i 5

cant see any option to change the file system. in the nas config page I have an tab for users but not sure how I would configure this to allow the blue iris service. b.i saves to the nas fine when not run as a service.

Running as a windows service ? has odd effect on my NAS Drive ? B.i 5

The Nas is purely for my camera footage so no mac or Linux using it. I will have a look and see if the file system can be changed. thanks

Running as a windows service ? has odd effect on my NAS Drive ? B.i 5

Blue iris backs up to a Nas drive on my network, however I have recently changed the power options of my pc and nas so that they auto restart after a power cut, so its just the software I need to autostart now which I assume is where I need to click the 'Run as a windows service' box ? However...

5231rze - reducing motion blur at night

Thanks, I’ve gone into the cameras gui and set the profiles up in there and also the day/night switch time. Although my cameras record to blue iris it looked simpler to set the profile switching times in the actual camera GUI

Pmcross , when you set your profiles up, I assume this is done through the actual camera software ?

5231rze - reducing motion blur at night

No where near the standard of big red fish’s, moving cars are still a bit blurry but the person walking by is lots better, before on auto settings they used to have ghost trails behind them.

5231rze - reducing motion blur at night

Great help, I’ve set shutter to manual 1/30 as my FPS are 15 and that has improved it a lot. I have a streetlight right outside the entrance plus a 30w led floodlight which is on all night. Running it at 1/30, is that ok for daytime as well ?

5231rze - reducing motion blur at night

Thank you, that gives me a starting point, il be honest, I just got them up and running and that’s where I left it. Considering adding another to set up just for plates. I have a pair of 4mp non starlight dahuas to cover the wider area and back garden but as I have the starlight trained on the...
