    Catalytic Converter #5 today!

Exactly! The front and rear of the cables are wrapped around the frame or other unmovable parts. The red clamps on each end "pinch" and secure the cable so that "unraveling it" is much, much harder than you think. It definitely could be bypassed if the thief had the time, but that is the...

    Blue Iris Upgrade Hell Rant

I have a question on the amount of CPU usage you are running. Do you have your video stream going directly to disk, and only having the minimal video stream being sent to the screen of your PC? I reduced my CPU from 80-90%, down to 18%, while running 10 cameras. On your issue of "Upgrade...

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

My bad. I didn't see any offering the 1/1.8 sensor but did pick up on the ultra low light and it really is impressive. Apologies for misleading anyone.

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Holy camera, Batman. The new Dahua 4mp Ultra-lowlight camera is amazing! I am completely convinced that the original camera that started this post simply went bad. I picked up the camera like you suggested (only $66) and holy heck. The night time image is incredible. I can actually see...

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Very good questions. I made no changes to the camera or firmware. I can't be sure how long it has been this way, I just noticed it recently as I went through some video reviews. I wasn't smart enough to try and reset the camera.. sorry. After all this trying so many different approaches, I...

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

I just checked and yes, night time is having the same effects.... I am going with fenderman's recommendation and grab a different camera. My suspicions seem confirmed with everyone's suggestions so far, no matter what configuration setting I change, the "blurring" is staying consistent, so my...

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Hi fenderman, long time since I've had to ask you for help. For daytime (which has been my testing so far) has Noise Reduction set at Expert. I am about to test night time where I have it set to off. Do you have a recommendation for a replacement camera? This is guarding my Mothers stored...

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Ok, I changed each of these settings one by one, and then tested. Unfortunately the "blurring" is again staying consistent.... I could tell how the changes effected the camera, so I know the camera took each change. Under "expert" there are three choices: OFF, Normal, Expert. I have...

Unfortunately there isn't any SD card slot for this particular camera.

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Here is another copy of the video "blurring" as well as the camera's settings. I have changed many of these settings, one by one, then tested them individually, but so far the same "blurring" effect is happening. ANY and ALL advice is greatly appreciated.

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Unfortunately there isn't any SD card slot for this particular camera, but I understand your point to try and eliminate the camera/settings from the equation and isolate the video feed vs camera settings.

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Thank you. Yes, I use Direct to Disc and have the frame rate (20) the same as the camera's.

Unable to eliminate video "traces" during movement

Thank you for responding. I've definitely walked systematically through the shutter speeds, from 1/250 up to 1/100000. Simply no change in the "blurring" effect on this camera......... I've also changed the gain and noise for each and every setting. So far, the "blurring" remains constant at...
