Makes you wonder what's causing the latency. Maybe the Pi? However, I use a Pi with OctoPi on my 3D printer, with a camera, there's no more than maybe 500ms of latency.

Anyone heard any updates on this? Just saw that yesterday Amazon announced the echo spot. Would be awesome to be able to ask it to see a camera when the door bell rings. I already use Alexa to set profiles occasionally. Being able to ask for video would be sweet.

Works like a charm now. Had to get around Intel's lack of desire to install the latest driver, and Dell's inability to provide the latest driver, but now running driver version 21.20.16.4542 for the Intel HD 530, it's perfect. Thanks again.

Yesterday I moved BI to a dedicated machine with an i5-6500 and 8GB RAM. Today I noticed some gaps in the timeline that I hadn't noticed before the move. I noticed in the BI log that it says it recovered from an unexpected shutdown, so I went into the event viewer and looked at the system logs...

Set up an Arduino that is hooked up to the BI server. Set it up to signal the arduino when there's motion, then have the arduino make a noise, flash a light, chamber a round in your AR... The possibilities are endless. The only problem is learning C and understanding arduino.
